  Dock finger is a floating pontoon that separates the boats and offers access to berthed boats in a marina and provides mooring line attachment points. These structures are primarily used in marine bays with respect to tidal variation or other occurrences affecting the water level. Dock fingers are also employed in boating centers and yacht clubs for coastline protection and development. These are generally made from rot-resistant materials or wood walkways that are reinforced by aluminum framework resting on air-filled chambers made of laminate material. Some dock fingers are also made using modular plastic units without any additional structure. Utilization of standard fasteners allow reorganization and reconfiguration of modules at marine facilities.
