  Refrigerated cabinets are insulated refrigerated boxes with doors. Refrigerated cabinets are extensively used for the temporary storing of consumable products in stores as well as in the food service industry. The internal and external cases of the cabinets are made of plastic, steel, or aluminum. A coating of low-temperature insulation, usually 50–100 mm thick is positioned amid the cases. The doors are either insulated or made completely of metal or comprise double or triple glass. Racks, shelves or trays are placed inside the cabinet. Then they are refrigerated by a small cooling machine with a built-in or detached chilling unit. Subject to the temperature in the chilled space, a division is made based on low-temperature (below – 18°C) and medium-low-temperature (largely in the range of 1°–3°C) cooled cabinets.
