  Integrally Geared Centrifugal Compressor Market : Introduction Integrally geared centrifugal compressor is a multi-shaft compressor in which each stage is a three-dimensional (3D) impeller operated at its optimum speed. Integrally geared centrifugal compressor consists of a gear unit with a central bull gear and different gear pinions, which drive many impeller stages. It is mainly used in industrial gases, CO2, urea, and in the purified terephthalic acid or nitric acid process. In large-scale gas turbines it also works as fuel gas boosters. An integrally geared centrifugal compressor is very efficient and has many advantages such as advanced high speed 3D impellers, relatively low cost, and higher efficiencies compared to other turbo machinery. It is more efficient compared to other compressors because all stages are intercooled and the speed increasing gear allows all the stages to operate at a higher speed.
